Elsa Nianru Chen works across painting, drawing, sculpture, textiles, and photography.
Her practice considers the body through repetition and the time of making. Repeated marks, embroidery, and needle felting give material form to gestures that accumulate and change. Across these processes, she attends to the encounter between a material, the artist, and the viewer.
